"When Braided Fairies Strike"Written By: Emerald Pillow Pairing: 1+3. ?+1 Warning: Yaoi; Language, lemon, death, POV Disclaimer: I don't own Gundam Wing or it's characters.
You can sue me, but all I have worth taking is my cat that looks like
Trowa, but is named Duo. Rating: NC 17 When Braided Fairies Strike Part 1
Every session, for the full hour, I would sit in my
chair, watching the balls. . .I never spoke. . .never made eye contact.
It pissed me off that the first ball could never touch the third.
No matter what I did, the second ball was always in the way. I tried
removing the second ball from the line, but the result was chaos.
It didn't flow as smooth and was too shaky and unstable. It actually
made the third ball the second, so the problem persisted. It was impossible
to remove a second, and still have a third. "Heero, now we both know that you don't want to
stay here. We both also know that you really don't have to."
Why wouldn't I want to stay here? I didn't have to deal with much.
The only thing that bothered me at first was the screaming at night.
. .but I've gotten use to it. The injections that they were constantly
giving me never phased me. My body never reacted to it in the first
place. After spending six years with Duo, there wasn't anything I
couldn't handle. I've even gotten use to my roommate, who reminded
me of that braided bastard. At least in here, I didn't have to put
up with the real Duo and Relena, or any one else that caused me to
be here in the first place. This was the perfect Nirvana. "Heero!" She placed her finger between the
second and third ball, causing all of them to lay dormant. I guess
she had all she could take of it. She pulled the cradle from my reach,
thinking she might actually get my attention. "Heero, keeping
this bottled up isn't helping you. You have a lot of repressed feelings.
This is the time to open up. . ." She waited for my response,
but I just continued to stare at the unmoving balls; thinking how
much the third one was stuck. If you pull back the first ball, it gets a little space,
but not much. Tugging the first two causes the third to get pounded
by the second and fourth. Try the first three, and it doesn't know
where to go. By pulling four, the third has no choice. No matter what,
it was trapped between the second and fourth. "Why do you have such a interest in the cradle
Heero?" She didn't know when to quit. She reminded me so much
of Relena; which was probably why I was trying to make her crack.
I hated that bitch. She was the one that deserved to be here instead
of me. Anyone who stalks the guy that tried to kill her needed this
kind of help. Not me. I was merely trying to complete my final mission.
If it wasn't for Duo, I would have completed it. If it wasn't for
Relena, I would have had a second chance. Suddenly, the older woman
pressed a button on her intercom. "Angel, come show Heero back."
I looked up at the clock. She lasted 45 minutes this time; her patience
was getting shorter toward me. Three weeks ago, she was able to last
the entire hour. Over the time, it progressively gotten shorter. The door opened and Angel appeared. She was basically
my nurse. She's been watching over me since the night I arrived here.
She's the only one in the institute that thought I wasn't crazy, so
she never treated me like I was. She never looked down on me for what
I did. In truth, it turned her on. Everything about me turned her
on. . .but if anyone ever found out what we did every time we had
the chance, she would be fired. I was starting to become fond of her,
and didn't want that to happen. She wasn't like the other nurses in
this facility. Most of the staff here, as far as the females go, are
too flaky and weak. Angel was pretty tough; not only could she probably
kick everyone else's ass in this place, but she was the only one that
could put up with me. Not even Duo could do as much. She had a kind
heart, but a lot of problems at home; it only made her stronger though.
I didn't really see her as a nurse, rather a close friend that had
great sex every night. I'm not sure why, but I had a trust in her
that was rare for me to have with strangers. It was the same kind
of trust that Trowa and I shared. "Are you ever going to start talking to any of
the doctors here Heero?" She asked once we were pretty much alone.
"Why would I want to?" "Because this isn't exactly the best place to be."
"It's a lot better than what's waiting for me outside
of these walls." "Well, why do you have to go back to Duo?"
"No matter where I'll go, he'll find me. . .and
if he doesn't, Relena will." We walked back to the sleeping quarters
in silence. That was another thing about her, we didn't always have
to talk. I returned to my room as she started making her rounds, checking
on other patients. Sitting on my bed, I picked up a book that Angel
had brought me earlier in the week. Ever since she learned that I
liked to read, she's been bringing me some of her favorite books.
I wasn't one much for trashy romance novels, but she somehow coaxed
me into giving one a chance. When I did, I hated to say it, but I
became addicted to them. Right now, I had just started reading a novel
entitled "Simon Says." I was only a few chapters into it,
but found it interesting. The story was centered around a family that
was going on vacation and got ambushed. They were saved by a mysterious
guy named Simon that was a wandering traveler. I didn't really have
much time to read, for there always seem to be interruptions. "Hey Heero. . ." I didn't need to look up
to know who was calling me. It was Heaven, Angel's best friend, and
the only nurse that didn't seem to catch onto hints. For Angel's sake,
I kept from running her off like I have every nurse that I didn't
like since I've been here. I wasn't sure how much Heaven knew about
what was going on between me and Angel, but I didn't want to risk
anything. "We're going outside to play some baseball. Why don't
you come out and join us?" Heaven was too over enthusiastic about
stupid shit, and talked to me as if I was an incompetent five year
old. Worse yet, she was as bad as the therapist, always prying into
my business, feelings and thoughts. In short, she was the female counter
part to Quatre. "Is someone being grumpy today?" What the hell was wrong with her? I never participated
in any kind of social activity those morons came up with. She knew
that, but she kept on trying to persuade me. She even had the nerve
to walk into my room and sit on my bed. If she wasn't Angel's best
friend, I'd probably break a few of her bones. She acted as if she
wanted to be my friend, but I had a feeling that she was just trying
to be like Angel. It was well known that Angel was the only nurse
that came in contact with me every day and have yet to go running
for the hills as the others did. "You should try it. Baseball is fun, and it'll give you a chance to get outside in the fresh air. You might even make a couple of friends with the other patients." This chick belonged in a daycare center somewhere, not here. She took the book from me and laid it down. She then grabbed my hand and tried pulling me to my feet, but I wouldn't let her as I ripped my flesh from hers and glared at her warningly. "Heero, if you come, I'll let you be on team." That was suppose to make me change my mind? I refrained from telling her just what she could do with her team. Noticing my evil stare, her friendliness dissolved, as did the smile on her face. Without another word, she left me in peace. ~ * ~ Chapter
